Johnny Appleseed

Oh, the Lord is good to me
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me the things I need
I sun and the rain and the apple seed

The Lord is good to me
Johnny Appleseed, Amen!

Oh, for every seed I sow
An apple tree will grow
And there will be an apple tree
For everyone in the world to see

The Lord is good to me
Johnny Appleseed, Amen!

God is Great

God is great and God is good
Let us thank him for our food
We're gonna thank him morning noon and night
Our God our God is outta sight

Amen! Ch-ch-ch-ch ch ch-ch-ch-ch
Amen! Ch-ch-ch-ch ch ch-ch-ch-ch
Amen! Ch-ch-ch-ch ch ch-ch-ch-ch
Amen!

If anyone starts another "Ch-ch-ch" after the last amen, the entire grace must be sung again

Elbows off the Table!

Find a raisin in the flour!Exchange the name "Fred" with whoever happens to break this rule
Also, "Get your elbows off the table" can be exchanged with "Sit right at the table" or any other declaration of bad manners. Note:  this song may be sung a maximum of 3 times per meal.

Fred, Fred, if you're able
Get your elbows off the table!
This is not a horse's stable
But a first class dining table!

Stand up! Stand up!
Stand up, dear Fred, stand up, stand up!
Stand up! Stand up!
Stand up, dear Fred, stand up!

Then, one of several punishment verses is sung to the tune of "London Bridge is falling down".  Some common ones include pushing small objects across the floor with your nose (pepper optional), running around the dining hall as some barnyard animal, or waltzing, singing, etc.  The person who catches the offender is encouraged to be creative and invent new ways to embarrass them.

Announcements!

Use the word "notice" instead of the 'A' word to make sure this doesn't happen to you!  This song is usually sung inside the dining hall, but it also applies outside the dining hall.
